Adult Faith Formation

“The Christian family loudly proclaims both the present virtues of the Kingdom of God and the hope of a blessed life to come.” – Lumen Gentium

All adults are invited to join us for any and all opportunities to grow in our Catholic Christian faith and community.  Here at Light of the World we are focusing on the four pillars of parish life. Below you can find how we are striving for that goal.

If you are interested in learning more about what is available to you please see below to contact Rachel Carlson at rachelc@lotw.org.

LOTW SPRING SMALL GROUPS

Our Spring Small Groups are underway! No matter you interest or availability, Light of the World has a small group for you! Click the button below to navigate to the small group sign up (the link at the top of the sign up shares more details about each of the groups).

PLEASE NOTE that for all of these groups, you are not required to attend all of the sessions to be a part of them. For any and all times that you are available, you are welcome to join. Do not let lapses in attendance deter you from signing up. You are welcome and encouraged to strengthen your faith in a new way, despite any breaks you may take within your time as a small group member!

Sign up for Flocknote and help our parish communicate announcements that is efficient for us and convenient for you!

“Renew your mind.” Romans 12:2 – Following Jesus gives life us in abundance.  We are called to live in imitation of Christ, which happens through the renewal of our mind and heart. A full list of our Spring Small Group offerings will be available soon! Contact Rachel Carlson with any questions about getting involved.

“You did it to me.” Matthew 25:40 – Christ can always be found in the poor, the hungry and the lonely, and He can be encountered through their service. We offer many opportunities to get involved in serving the community.

“Encourage one another.” Hebrews 10:25 – We’re not meant to walk alone, but together in community.  Faith is strengthened in the company of others who are also walking with Christ, and we offer numerous opportunities for you to find your place here in our parish family.  Join us each first Sunday for a parish breakfast and get to know others in a casual atmosphere.

“Pray continually.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16 – Essential to a life of faith is to engage regularly in the sacraments and nurture an intimate prayer life.  We have a perpetual adoration chapel for times of prayer.  Watch the events calendar to see what devotions we are featuring.  If you are in need of other resources to begin or deepen your prayer please contact us.
