WHAT WE DO
SOciety Members
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul embrace the charism and spirituality of our Patron Saint, Vincent de Paul. His love and service to the poor are an example for us today to “evangelize the poor” and bring to them the wholeness of the love of Jesus Christ in a broken world.
As a Vincentian at Light of the World Parish, you may:
-
go on home visits
-
provide friendship for neighbors in need
-
advocate for the poor
-
help neighbors in need to identify other helpful community resources

The Youth Faith Formation Ministry at Light of the World engages and prepares our youth to be counter-cultural and to live radical, authentic and unapologetic Catholic lives.
We believe that society needs our young people to bring the light of Christ to the nations and our program seeks to do that through prayer, education, worship, community and lives centered on the Eucharist. Our programs during the academic year meet during the following times:
JR. HIGH PROGRAM (GRADES 6-8): Wednesdays from 7:00pm – 8:15pm
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP (GRADES 9-12): Thursdays from 7:00pm – 8:30pm
